Christian Association was established in Australia in 1850 with the
YMCA of Brisbane chartered in 1864.
Membership in Queensland
There are
990,500 annual attendances of YMCA centres in Queensland.
Aims
and Purposes
The YMCA of
Brisbane works, from a base of Christian values, to provide
opportunities for all people to grow in body, mind and spirit.
The YMCA of
Brisbane is guided to achieve their Mission by the following
Christian values:

Main
Activities
Community
service programs are catered for at fifteen establishments
throughout Brisbane by way of recreation programs, camping, outdoor
education, early childhood education, long day child care, family
day care, outside school hours care, vacation care, youth
development, sporting programs, training (national and
international) and health and fitness activities.
